Supporting young people to forge brighter futures
3Pillars Project empowers young people to forge brighter futures
Our vision is to create the nation’s leading sports-based mentoring programme for young people in custody and those recently released from prison.
We are a charity that uses sports-based mentoring programmes to support young adults and children in custody, equipping them through mentoring, training, employment and education.
Our project equips participants with a toolkit, a toolkit that enables reintegration into the community and prevents a return to custody. 3Pillars believe that nurturing young leaders with lived experience of the criminal justice system can create positive change within local communities and have a positive impact on other young people.
We build long term trust based relationships with participants, providing stability and longterm engagement within the 3Pillars sporting community. We work with a range of partners across London, the South East, and the Midlands. All 3Pillars Project apprentices become part of our community.
Sport as a gateway to build trust-based, long-term relationships with vulnerable young people.
Deliver mentoring and provide positive role models using a trauma-aware approach.
Provide long-term support, empowering participants to make positive contributions to society.
As a sports-based charity, we use a combination of mentoring and rugby to engage young people aged 15-25 in prison, YOIs, PRUs and in the community. We work to prevent young people being pulled into crime and gangs.
